Some Sals Maps

I’ve been keeping some form of map for the trails at Walking Purchase Park, at first on GRASS and now with QGIS, probably since the trails existed. My maps and datasets reside mostly on my home computer, but I’ve published them, in some form or other, from time to time over the years. This page will be a work in progress, where I make various newer versions of my Sals map available.

Links To Recent Maps

Quick But Simplistic And Not Up To Date:

Here is the link to the map if you’d rather not have as much gingerbread on your screen. The map can track your location if you have location enabled on your phone. It was extracted from my QGIS project, but had to be dumbed-down a bit to fit this particular format. Also, it’s a bit old…

More Accurate But Much Slower:

This online map is a fairly up-to-date, cloud-based version of my home QGIS project. It’s annoyingly slow, but it’s pretty accurate and looks nice, and like the first map if you use it on your phone it can track your current location. There is also an option at the link to generate a large-format (44″x33″) PDF of the map, suitable for printing.

Old School

Here is a link to an old Google Map I made of Sals for a school project.
